Footballer dies due to lightning strike in playground in Jaintapur

A football player named Sabuj Mia has died due to lightning on the playground in Sylhet's Jaintapur. The incident took place at the Goabari football field of the upazila around 4:30 pm yesterday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jaintapur Model Police Station. Tajul Islam confirmed the death. The deceased footballer is Sabuj Mia (22), son of Sagir Mia of Kendri village in Jaintapur union of the upazila. He went on to play for the central village football team. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jaintapur Model Police Station. Tajul Islam said that one player died in the incident of lightning in the football field.
