State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Foreign Employment and Sylhet District Awami League President Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury MP said that there is no place for extremism or militancy in Islam. Islam came to subcontinent including Sylhet through Sufism or Pir Auliyas. He also said that the noble message of Islam is the Holy Azan. It is very important that the tone of Azan is audible. Training is also needed in this field. He said this in the speech of the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony of the Regional Azan Competition organized by "Kafela Achinpuri" at a hotel in Sylhet city yesterday. President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of the Ministry of Religion Husam Uddin Chowdhury Fultali MP spoke as a special guest on the occasion.
