Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak said that the relief distribution program has been strengthened in the flood-affected areas. Representatives are delivering relief items door to door. No one will go hungry under this government. The government stands by the people in any disaster. The prime minister has ordered to stand by the flood affected people especially in Sylhet and Sunamganj. He said these things while distributing relief materials among flood victims in Sunamganj district's Tahirpur and Sadar's Hiluaghat yesterday. The minister also said that the Sheikh Hasina government is working in the interest of the people of the country. That is why the people of the country trusted him and elected Awami League again. Implementation of free and fair elections was possible only for Sheikh Hasina. There has been development in remote areas of the country. People of the country do not lack food and clothes now. The Sheikh Hasina government will build the country as a smart Bangladesh within the next 41 years. He said that the normal flow of flood water will be arranged by digging small rivers and canals in the district including Surma. Bangladesh Awami League Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Aminul Islam Amin, Central Member Azizus Samad Don, Member of Parliament Dr. Mohammad Chadiq and Member of Parliament Advocate Ranjit Sarkar spoke as special guests under the chairmanship of Upazila Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Abul Hossain Khan.
