Today is the 75th anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, one of the oldest and largest political parties in the country. On this day in 1949, Awami League was founded in Dhaka's Rose Garden. Under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this group has become an organization of the people of this country by leading directly and indirectly in every democratic, political and social movement including the independence and liberation war of Bangladesh. The history of Bangladesh Awami League is closely related to the struggle for the rights of the people of this country. Sylhet district and metropolitan Awami League have taken various programs on the occasion of the foundation anniversary. All these programs include wreath laying on the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and discussion meeting.
