Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Samant Lal Sen has ordered to keep adequate stock of antivenom for poisonous snakes in hospitals in flood affected areas of Sylhet. He also gave urgent instructions to the doctors in the flood-affected areas. Yesterday, he gave instructions in an emergency meeting with the concerned officials of health care sector of Sylhet division on the online platform Zoom from the secretariat. The Health Minister said that enough saline and medicine should be stocked in hospitals and medical centers to deal with outbreaks of diarrhea and water-borne diseases in these areas. Minister directed to keep adequate stock of antivenom for venomous snakes in hospitals. He urged everyone to follow proper hygiene rules. In the meeting, the health minister discussed with the parliamentarians of the flood-affected areas and instructed the concerned to take necessary measures to provide proper medical care after the flood.
